Do you want to get back to size 0 and be able to wear a newly-bought dress? How about finally getting rid of those flabby arms and legs? Do you want to have people start noticing how big you are, but how sexy you are?

Most definitely, most, if not all women reading this will say yes to the questions above. We all want to have a better body, don’t we? This is to not just look good but to feel good as well. But then, it is a lot easier said than done, and many have tried to start a diet and exercise programs who, unfortunately, failed in the end. What’s worse is that some of you actually end up putting on more fat, making you lose your self-esteem.

So what should you do to lose the unwanted body fat? Read on to find out what kind of weight training is more effective in achieving the toned body you want:

  1. Change your workout style – Most women work out by lifting light weights with higher repetitions. It’s the same with the machines. For cardio, not a few begin their workouts by spending an hour on the bike or the treadmill. That may not be helping you at all. Why? It’s because you may be going too easy on yourself. Hence, you may not achieve anything because your body is not getting the work out it needs. Why not go into interval training? This might help you more. Go for compound exercises that will engage multiple muscle groups; for your cardio, take the time in between exercise sets by doing very short but speed-focused exercises. You will actually burn more fat and build more muscles by doing these things.
  2. Do not starve yourself – This is not new; but still, so many people who try to go on diet starve themselves until they cannot take it anymore. Please, don’t hurt yourself. Your body needs all the nutrition it can get. This will give your body the energy it needs during exercise.
  3. Think of ways to motivate yourself – Make a progress chart, or gather messages of encouragement from loved ones, or post before and after pictures of yourself if you think that will help you go on. Because it will not always be easy. At times, you will feel that you are just too tired to go on. Think of how good looking you can be; or how healthy you will be once you have achieved your goals. Always inspire yourself because it will motivate you to work out harder.
