Low Back Pain Cause and How to Deal with It

By · Monday, May 25th, 2009

There are many causes of low back pain. It can either be caused by a muscle strain or a diagnosable condition such as a slip-disc. Experts say that over time, a lack of exercise can lead to an overall imbalance in the spinal structure, thus making your lower back more prone to pains and injuries. This strain can lead constant tension on the muscles, ligaments, bones and disc. Lower back pain can also be caused by overweight. Tendency is that when a person is overweight your lower back cannot support your body well.

Curing lower back is easy as long as it’s not chronic. Exercise works very well, when you know the right muscles to stretch and the right muscles to strengthen. Exercising certain muscles in your core will help you maintain a good posture and keep the spine in its proper position.

It will help to warm up your muscles with light aerobic activity like camel or cat stretching before going for the more strenuous activities. But keep in mind that you should consult a therapist or doctor before doing any lower back exercises to prevent injuries.

If, after doing the proper precautions and exercises, your lower back pains still doesn’t go away, it’s time to take notice and go to a professional.
